〖Responsibility of the department〗

1. Carrying out the guidelines, policies, laws, regulations of the state, provincial and municipal government on family planning; together with the related department drafting the policies and regulations on the family planning work in our district to promote the comprehensive management of the population and the family planning work.
2. Carrying out strictly laws and regulations on population and family planning, such as Law on population and family planning, measure on the management of the family planning among the floating population issued by the state council, management regulations of the technological service on family planning and population and family planning regulations in Shandong Province; administrating the population and family planning in the district according to the law and protecting the rights of the citizens.
3. Organizing comprehensive and foreseeing research on the key problems on population and family planning in our district, drafting middle and long term plan as well as year round plan on population and family planning in the district, and organizing the corresponding execution.
4. Checking, appraisal and testing the execution of the population and family planning object and management responsibility system in the towns, industrial district, committee of the party directly under the district government, and the departments directly under the district government; taking charge in the statistical work and taking charge in the analyzing on the statistics of the population in the district, taking charge in the management, checking and testing of the family planning among the floating population in the district.
