Fushan environment protection bureau is a department in charge of environment protection in the district. It is subdivided into 3 sections: office, comprehensive section and management section and has 3 divisions: environment inspection station, environment supervision team and applicant science academy.

〖Responsibility of the bureau〗
1. to implement the guidelines, policies, laws and regulations on environment protection of the central, provincial and municipal government; commissioned by district government to appraise the environment influence of the significant economic and technological polices, development layout and the significant economics development plan; to supervise the implementing of the pollution prevention layout in significant regions and drainage area and scheme on natural zoology environment; to work out environment function layout in the district and put them into practice.
2. to make polices and development plan for environment protection industry and put them into practice; to supervise struggling against pollutions in air, water, soil, noise, solid waste, poisonous chemicals and from autos; to supervise and manage the environment protection work in the district; to direct, coordinate and supervise the sea environment protection in the district; to work against premier pollution sourcing, to direct the construction of the seashore projects in reducing its pollution to the sea; investigate on important environment pollution accidents and zoology damaging incidence; intercede the dissension on environment pollution
3. to audit and approve the environment influence report of construction and development actions; to direct the comprehensive fathering of the city and town environment; to take responsibility in the environment protection of the village zoology; to direct the zoology model area construction, zoology agriculture construction and environment security of biology technology
4. to organize and coordinate the prevention against pollution in the key drainage areas; to be responsible for the administrative checking on environment supervision and environment protection; to be responsible for the waste discharging management in the district; to organize the execution of laws on environment protection
