situation of Fushan District¡½
Fushan district is administrated by Yantai municipal government, one the earliest 14 coast cities opened to the foreign trade. Located in the northeast
of Jiaodong Peninsula and on the Shore of
Huang Sea, it faces Laishan and Zhifu district
across Dagujia River, neighbors Muping in
the southeast, connects Qixia in the southwest
and borders on Penglai in the northwest
and Yantai Economy &Technology Development
area is in the close north of it. Fushan
district covers an area of 482.83m2 and
administrates 4 towns, 2 subdistrict, 179
administrative villages and 52 neighborhood
committees. This district has a population
of 247.6 thousand, including non-agriculture
of 76.4 thousand. The birthrate in this
district is 6.64¡Eand the natural growth
rate is ¡ª0.02¡E The district government
is in No. 185, Xianfu Street, in the southeast
of the urban area.

¡¼Geological
resources¡½
Fushan
district is endowed with rich mineral
resources. As yet there are already
28 kinds of mining products been discovered,
among which there are 8 metal mining,
18 non-metal mining, 2 underground
water resources. In this area the
river belongs to edge water system
in the peninsula, with the main river
of Dagujia river, popular as Waijia
River in the folk, and Qingyang River,
popular as Neijia River. Qingyang
River sourced from Xiaoling hill,
in the south of Qixia city. And Dagujia
River is sourced from Muniu Mountain,
Guocheng town of Haiyang. The two
rivers cover a length of in Fushan
area of 43 km and an area of 130 square
kilometers. These two rivers has entered
the Fushan area from the west and
the south representatively and through
all over the district, then in the
east of Yongfu Yuan village they meet
each other and flow into Huang Sea.
In the Fushan area there is the largest
reservoir of Yantai- Menlou reservoir,
with the capacity of 12 million cubic
meters, act as the main water source
of Yantai.

situation¡½
Located
in the sub-tropical monsoon and continental
climate zone, Fushan district has
four distinct seasons and monsoon
period. Controlled by the warm air
current from the Pacific, there is
enormous rain and humid air, in contrast
with the little rain and dry and cold
climate in the winter, as the result
of the influence of northwest Asia
dry and cold airflow. The average
annual rainfall in this area is 729.2mm,
the average temperature is 11.8¡E
average sunlight is 2672.2h and totaled
to 114.9kt/m2 year round, and the
relative humidity in a year is generally
65%, the frost-free period is 223
days and the average wind speed is
about 4-6m/s. |
